Trip Planning
Status: Live · updated as runs finish
It receives a request for a multi-city trip in India with a budget, a group, food needs and sometimes a rest day. It searches a simulated rail, hotel and attractions world and returns a structured plan.
Example request (illustrative, not one of the test tasks). “Plan a 5-day trip Delhi → Agra → Jaipur starting on a Friday for three adults, with a fixed budget, trains where possible, and a Taj Mahal visit on the first day.” The Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays, so a plan that visits it that day is wrong, and the correct answer is to say the request cannot be met and name the rule.
Budget, dates, connections, seat availability, opening days, food and room limits, and whether a request with no valid plan is recognised as such.
Rail and hotel rules are a documented simplification of public Indian practice. Fares, hotels and most timings are synthetic. It is not a booking system and not travel advice.
TravelPlanner (Xie et al., ICML 2024) is a trip-planning benchmark in a Western setting; see the explainer for what differs.
